Beach and River Cleanups
Each year, millions of people—in the United States, Canada, and across the globe—help make their local beaches, rivers, and waterways safer for wildlife and people through beach and river cleanups.
Projects Anywhere
International Coastal Cleanup
Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup allows volunteers to find a cleanup project anywhere. In partnership with organizations and individuals across the globe, this program engages people to remove trash and debris from the world's beaches and waterways, identify the sources of debris, and change behaviors that cause marine debris.
British Columbia
Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
The Shoreline Cleanup is one of the largest conservation initiatives of the Vancouver Aquarium. This program allows Canadians from all regions and all walks of life to make a positive difference to their environment. Each year, over 50,000 Canadians remove tons of litter from over 1,000 locations.
Washington
Washington Coast Savers
Marine debris washes up on the Washington coast all year, damaging delicate ecosystems and spoiling the beach for visitors. Volunteer for a cleanup event and help save Washington’s coast.

Oregon
SOLV
SOLV brings together volunteers, businesses, and government agencies to enhance the livability of Oregon. SOLV annually provides materials and funds to more than 250 Oregon communities, using 50,000 volunteers. In addition to the famous Great Oregon Beach Cleanup, other SOLV projects include river cleanups, habitat restoration, adopt-a-river, and beautification.
Idaho
Idaho Rivers United
Idaho Rivers safeguards Idaho's imperiled wild steelhead and salmon, protects and restores stream flows and riparian areas, and defends and promotes wild and scenic rivers. Idaho Rivers offers river clean-ups, concerts, events, education programs, river trips, and restoration projects.
