Mission
Zoo Boise serves as an education, conservation and recreation institution that safely and humanely exhibits living animals for the purposes of:

• educating children and adults about animals, animal habitats, and their preservation;
• encouraging the conservation, protection and propagation of rare and endangered species and their respective habitats;
• providing the public with a recreational opportunity to view a variety of live animals exhibited in conditions allowing them to display natural traits;
• providing an attraction for tourists and visitors; and
• contributing to the bank of knowledge about animals through limited research.
